Orlando Magic sign former lottery pick Kevin Knox II

The Orlando Magic have signed free agent forward Kevin Knox II, the team announced Thursday. Knox, a 6-foot-8, 215-pound forward, was originally selected by the New York Knicks with the ninth overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft.Prior to entering the NBA, Knox played one season at the University of Kentucky during the 2017-18 campaign. He started all 37 games as a freshman, averaging 15.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game. Knox was named the 2017-18 Southeastern Conference Co-Freshman of the Year, while also earning All-SEC First Team and SEC All-Freshman Team honors.Throughout his career, Knox has appeared in 320 regular-season games with 77 starts across stints with New York, Atlanta, Detroit, Portland, and Golden State.
